Design Analysis Reverse Engineering

Gearbox Cover Fill

The fill pattern of this gear box cover insures that the part will not have gas traps or weld lines in critical locations.

Radar Dome

This radar dome part used a filled material and had internal ribbing. Studies were done along with wall section modificaitons to produce a balanced fill with minimal weld lines.

Drive Shaft

Injection molding simulation of an acetal drive shaft used in an irrigation sprinkler showing the. This image is of the fill pattern.

Gear Shaft Warp

This plastic gear was critical for straightness to avoid binding of the molded in bearings. Initial analysis shown an excessive warpage of the gear and adjustments in gate location and cooling were made to correct the problem prior to tool fabrication.

Cover Warp

A warpage study of this bearing-cover shown excessive warpage. Gate location changes and cooling changes corrected the warpage to acceptable limits prior to tool fabrication.
